This Garen build is heavily focused on damage, where as many other builds focus more on being tanky. I prefer having great oneshot potention on squishies on Garen, whilst still being relatively tanky, which this build provides.

Garen is strong, because many players (especially low elo players) do not respect or expect his insane E damage. This often results in you getting ahead, and being able to ruin the jungler and mid laners day by roaming. Garen is extremely strong if you don't know how to counter him, and alot of people in low elo doesn't know how to. In low elo, you're gonna be met with a lot of all chat messages saying "Garen is op" "No skill champ", which is quite amusing. He can definitely work in high elo, as long as you also respect your opponent, and wait for your powerspikes.
